Image Use

Unless otherwise noted, all the scanning electron micrographs (SEMs) posted on this site are original work, produced by myself at the Microscopy and Imaging Facility of the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH), New York, primarily for research purposes.

These SEMs are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 license. This means that for scientific, educational and other non-commercial uses you are free (in fact, you are encouraged) to use and remix them for your own sites, talks, pamphlets, or shoulder tattoo without requesting my permission beforehand (although I’ll happy to know how that went). The only thing I ask for is for you to attribute the images to me and the American Museum of Natural History by citing Roberto Keller/AMNH and, whenever possible, this blog’s url http://roberto.kellerperez.com/ (on second thought, don’t tattoo my name on your shoulder please).

Or, if you prefer an academic analogy regarding valid use of this blog’s content, you are free to quote extensively, reuse, remix, discuss, praise, critique, trash, make fun of, ridicule, or pee on the content as long as you cite the source properly. My thoughts on how to properly cite individual posts on formal publications are expressed here.

For commercial uses please contact me first.

I have high resolution digital versions of all the SEMs that appear on this site and will be happy to provide you with any of them upon request.
