Nominate Archetype for The Open Laboratory 2009

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009 | Administrative

Do you like any particular post(s) from this blog? If so, I will be very grateful if you submit them for consideration to the 2009 edition of the science anthology The Open Laboratory: The Best Writing on Science Blogs by using the form accessible through the link below or the (smaller) one in the right margin.

And if I make it into the final cut due to your submission, you will receive a T-shirt… no, wait, a button… no, hmm… well I’ll think of something involving tiny ants magnified to huge proportions using an electron gun.

Many thanks. Do you like your T-shirt crew or V neck?

T-shirts, dunno. Got plenty of t-shirts. But I could always use more tiny ants magnified to huge proportions using an electron gun!

I’ve cast one vote so far. Will vote for each of your Homology Weekly posts. Keep up the great work. I’m learning a lot.

Knowing this is very encouraging Dave (and makes me feel bad for constantly missing my blog deadlines!) .

My nomination is:

Your submission to the Open Laboratory 2009 was successful. Thank you.

Submission Form

Name of the science blog * Archetype, Ant reconstruction one homology at a time
Name of the Blog Post * Homology Weekly: Tentorial Pits
URL of the science blog post * http://roberto.kellerperez.com/2009/06/homology-weekly-tentorial-pits/
Area of Science * biology, anatomy, evolution
Why should this post be included in The Open Laboratory? * His serie “Homology Weekly” gives a splendid review of, until now, some characters that define ants or certain groups of ants. This peticular post puts the tentorial pits in the spotligth. Although a lot of insects have them, Keller explains perfectly what they are and gives a few examples of ants were the pits seem to have moved. SPLENDID!
Your name * Marc Van der Stappen
Your email address * ***********

Thank you Marc! I guess I’ll have to get a full stack of those T-shirts I promise…
